Little Lambs Daycare

Amy Hayes, Director 224-5262

In April 1997 two dedicated Christian Women, Candy Rude and Sharon Michael presented to the church a vision:  a Christian Day Care to be housed in the church.  Little Lambs Christian Day Care was born on June 1, 1977 and First Christian Church claims it as one of the church's most successful ministries.  Little Lambs began with 4 enrollees and two staff.  In the last 9 years it has grown to 70-80 enrolles, from infant through school age, and a staff of more than 15.  It's annual budget is more than $165,000.  A volunteer board, led by Helen Enyart oversees this ministry. Amy Hayes serves as director.  Little Lambs is not just a Day Care.  It is a school where children are taught about Jesus Christ.  Chapel is held weekly and the entire church is involved in many ways.  Jesus said, "Let the Children come." and often on Sunday mornings, our Little Lambs help fill the church sanctuary.  In 2004 a pre-school class was added.  In 2005, 15 children graduated from that class.  First Christian Church has been blessed by this ministry, not only with the gratitude of parents, but God has led this congregregation to stretch horizons with the needs of the Day Care. Hours are from about 5:30 am until 10pm. Step ahead vouchers are accepted and there are discounts for familes with more than one child. Please contact Amy Hayes with questions or if you would like to help out in this ministry-224-5262.
